Aeronautical Engineer (Structures) - Intern
Lockheed Martin is a leading aerospace and defense company that focuses on purposeful innovation to solve complex challenges. The Aeronautical Engineer (Structures) Intern will be responsible for designing aircraft mechanical systems and creating detailed mechanical layouts and installation packages.

Responsibilities
Design the installation of aircraft Mechanical Systems including but not limited to Hydraulics and Pneumatics Subsystems routing, Environmental Control Systems (ECS), fuel line routing, Escape System Subcomponent, etc
Define, develop, and finalize mechanical layouts and systems interfaces
Create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies and installations
Design the installation of aircraft Equipment and Crew Station hardware of Line Replacement Units (LRUs), Control Panels, other cockpit systems (displays, radios, etc) and their supporting hardware
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical major
Knowledge and/or experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications
Preferred
Experience with metallic design
Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office
