Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Product Security team to enhance cybersecurity across Emerson’s product portfolio
Assist in the development and implementation of secure coding practices
Support efforts to meet regulatory compliance requirements
Participate in agile development processes and contribute to secure software/firmware development
Communicate findings and recommendations through persuasive writing and effective verbal communication
Engage in empathetic thinking to understand user and stakeholder needs
Learn and apply cybersecurity principles in a real-world product environment
Work in a team-oriented setting and contribute to a collaborative culture
Qualification
Required
Pursuing Bachelors in engineering
Zero (0) years of applicable experience
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred
GPA of 3.0 or above
Prior internship experience
An ABET-accredited engineering degree in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering or Computer Science is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of basic security concepts such as encryption, secure software development, and regulatory compliance
Student-level proficiency in a programming/scripting language such as C/C++, Python, PowerShell, etc
