Responsibilities

Manage payroll workflows to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Collect, review, calculate, and enter payroll data including wages, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments
Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee and employer federal, state, and Social Security taxes
Resolve payroll discrepancies by researching, analyzing, and correcting variances in a timely manner
Maintain payroll operations by following established policies, procedures, and internal controls
Ensure employee confidence by protecting confidential and sensitive payroll information at all times
Process and reconcile monthly insurance billing, including preparation of detailed spreadsheets and coordination with accounting for payment processing
Support accurate and timely year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s and other required filings
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from associates, leadership, and external partners with professionalism and discretion
Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and special payroll projects as needed

Required

4–6 years of hands-on payroll processing experience in a multi-entity or complex environment
Demonstrated experience processing bi-weekly payroll end to end (data entry, review, submission, corrections)
Strong working knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
Proficiency in Excel (data validation, basic formulas, reconciliation support)
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of accurate payroll processing and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion

Preferred

Associate's degree in accounting, business, or related field
Paycom experience
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Experience administering payroll-related items such as: Timekeeping and PTO balances, New hire setup and terminations, Retro pay, off-cycle payrolls, and corrections, Payroll audits and reconciliations
