Responsibilities
Delivering specialized instruction for K-2 students in resource co-taught classrooms with six or fewer students
Providing cross-categorical and higher support services in specialized classroom settings for K-2 with up to seven students
Teaching reading or math to junior high (middle school) students in special education classrooms with 10 to 11 students
Designing and adapting lesson plans and materials based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure cohesive educational experiences
Monitoring student progress and maintaining comprehensive documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
active Special Education Teacher license
minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Preferred
Valid Special Education teaching certification
Experience working with K-2 and middle school students in special education settings
Ability to implement co-teaching models and individualized instruction effectively
Bilingual skills preferred to support diverse student populations
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of current special education laws, regulations, and best practices
