Test Engineering Intern (Entry Level)

RoboStruct Technologies is seeking Test Engineering Interns to collaborate with engineers and industry professionals in the development and testing of hardware and firmware for industrial applications. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to engineering projects while gaining exposure to business operations and connected systems.

Responsibilities

Support the development of test requirements and execution of hardware verification test plans, including board-level functional testing, EMC validation, certification compliance (such as UL, ATEX, IECEx), and functional safety standards (IEC 61508)
Assist with programming, analysis, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware prototypes
Contribute to product design documentation, test procedures, and test reports
Support testing activities focused on verifying product performance and reliability in industrial environments
Assist with the design and development of scripts used for test automation
Document and execute manual and automated test procedures to verify product functionality
Support the creation of test reports and assist with laboratory audit or improvement activities
Provide assistance with the build, configuration, and commissioning of test firmware and hardware platforms

Required

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
Basic programming experience in one or more of the following: C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or LabVIEW
Foundational knowledge of circuit theory, including microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog circuits, and DC power conversion
Exposure to programmable devices such as CPLDs or FPGAs
Experience or coursework related to power electronics or motor systems
Familiarity with design capture and schematic tools, with the ability to interpret schematic drawings
Exposure to tools such as CAD software, Creo Parametric, ERP systems, 3D modeling tools, SAP, or MATLAB
Experience or academic exposure to industrial automation environments, including PLCs or drive systems
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
