Business Development Partner

VLX Labs is a data-driven company focused on transforming industrial asset management through Artificial Intelligence. They are seeking a Strategic Sales Executive to drive outbound sales efforts, turning AI-generated leads into booked meetings and closed retainers with mechanical and industrial firms.

Responsibilities

You will live on the phone, taking exclusive AI dossiers and turning them into:
First-contact calls with owners, principals, and CEOs of mechanical / industrial firms
Qualified meetings where they see the value of our intel
Closed $2,000–$5,000/month retainers for ongoing projects
This is outbound-heavy, hunter work. No one is handing you warm demos all day. You will:
Work from targeted lists and territories
Run disciplined call blocks
Follow up by email/text/LinkedIn, but the phone is your primary weapon
You’ll help shape our outbound scripts, objection handling, and territory prioritization as we scale into new regions
Get the principal on the phone
Show them why this asset matters
Lock in a retainer so they move with us, not their competition

Qualification

Required

You are comfortable calling owners, principals, and executives
You can sound like the field (plain, direct) and the boardroom (clear, structured) in the same day
You've already done 50–100 cold calls per day in a previous role
You know your own numbers: connect rates, meetings booked, and deals sourced from your calls
3+ years closing or heavily influencing high-ticket B2B deals (construction, industrial, energy, tech/SaaS, or similar)
Comfortable with multi-stakeholder conversations and longer sales cycles
You want your income tied directly to your output
You don't wait for marketing to 'warm things up.' You build your own pipeline and take pride in it
If you have never thrived in a phone-heavy, outbound role, this will not be a fit

Benefits

50% of the Month 1 retainer paid on cash receipt
10% recurring commission for the first 3 months of each new contract
90-day commission-only probation
High performers who consistently close and maintain deal quality may transition into: A base draw tied to monthly production
Adjusted commission rates
Expanded territory or leadership scope as USA Projects scales
Transition criteria are performance-based and reviewed at the end of the 90-day ramp
