Responsibilities
Deliver specialized nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac surgery and those requiring cardiovascular support
Manage patient care with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, collaborating with CNAs and a multidisciplinary team, including intensivists available 24/7
Utilize advanced critical care equipment, including CRRT NxStage and Phillips monitors
Maintain clear, accurate documentation within the Epic EMR system
Participate in weekend rotations every other week, covering shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
active registered nurse (RN) license
minimum 1+ years RN experience
Current RN licensure with at least 1 year of CVICU experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS required
Experience with circulatory support devices such as IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO
Skilled in post-cardiac assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac waveform interpretation, and vasoactive/antiarrhythmic medication titration
Preferred
CCRN preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
