Responsibilities

Deliver specialized instruction and therapeutic support to students with severe disabilities
Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to meet student needs
Track student progress and communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
Provide behavioral supports and modify activities to maximize engagement and learning

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
Active Special Education Teacher license
Minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Possession of a Massachusetts Severe Disabilities Teaching License
Experience working with students with severe disabilities and intensive support needs
Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students who are non-verbal and require alternative communication methods
Strong understanding of AAC devices and strategies to support communication development
Adaptability and patience to work in a fast-paced, supportive early childhood special education environment
