Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on designated Medical/Surgical Telemetry units, including oncology, orthopedic, and urology populations, as well as emergency department hold areas
Perform clinical duties such as IV management, blood draws from central lines, bladder scanning, glucose monitoring, and other routine procedures
Collaborate with respiratory therapy and ancillary staff to ensure comprehensive patient support
Adapt to floating assignments across units R5, R6, R7, and potentially other telemetry areas as scheduled
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records and support medication administration systems transitioning to EPIC
Adhere to dress code standards and professional appearance guidelines
Participate in orientation and ongoing education as required
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
BLS certification
Ability to manage a nurse-patient ratio approximately 1:4 or 1:5 depending on unit assignment
Comfortable working with adult patients aged 25 to 99 requiring varying levels of medical and surgical care
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Preferred
CMSRN or other specialty nursing certifications
