Responsibilities
Provide skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population, managing a patient ratio of 6:1
Perform IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, nasogastric tube placements, wound care, and surgical site assessments
Utilize critical thinking in MedSurg and post-op patient management
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Adhere to unit policies and the organization's code of conduct
Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech Expanse EMR system
Float to MedSurg, Rehab, and Progressive Care units as needed
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
Valid RN license with MedSurg experience
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification
Experience in time management and team collaboration
Ability to work four weekend shifts per four-week schedule cycle
Professional appearance in royal blue scrubs
Preferred
Post-operative care experience
