Responsibilities
Analyze material use with the goal of improving inventory turns and eliminating obsolescence
Establish and maintain correct min/max levels, reorder levels and order quantities for each site
Analyze daily booking reports to determine if existing inventory can be used to fulfill order requirements
Identify cost reduction and containment opportunities
Maintain collaborative relationships with vendors, distribution centers or other entities to ensure rapid and efficient movement of goods through the supply chain
Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Purchasing, and Operations to develop control processes that focus on improving inventory turns
Facilitate material availability communication among internal and external Clearfield stakeholders
Analyze historical material requirement data, forecast material requirements, and present analytics to Product Management
Link forecasts to Purchasing and inventory management
Assure that the right inventory is in the right place in a timely manner
Communicate with site teams to address individual location issues as necessary
Develop potential material application/uses by working with Design and Manufacturing Engineers
Analyze and interpret BOM's to create application possibilities
Apply industry and product knowledge to suggest re-utilization of excess inventory
Help develop work arounds and solutions
Fosters a positive spirit of collaboration across all functions
Performs other duties as apparent or assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field
Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing of fiber connectivity products
Ability to work in a dynamic, interrupt driven environment
Strong written and communication skills
Strong proficiency with M/S platform
Preferred
Mechanical engineering training/experience preferred
MRP / ERP operating system experience is a plus
