Application Engineer- Power system
GeniusMesh is seeking an Applications Engineer to support power delivery, electrical protection, and rack-level energy systems for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise facilities. This role involves working closely with customers to provide tailored solutions for high-density power requirements and collaborating with internal teams to develop customized systems.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical contact for data center clients on rack-level power distribution, power conversion, and electrical protection systems
Support integration of PDUs, PSUs, BBUs, UPS modules, and HVDC sidecar power racks into customer designs
Convert customer needs into specifications for components such as circuit breakers, contactors, SSRs, and energy-storage interfaces
Participate in design reviews, compliance checks, and root-cause analysis for UL489, UL62368, CE, and similar certified components
Work with internal engineering teams to create customized protection and HVDC-based solutions for high-density compute racks
Assist sales teams by preparing proposals, cost estimates, and integration guidance for standard and custom rack-power products
Qualification
Required
Understanding of data center electrical layouts, including single-line and five-line diagrams
Familiarity with modular rack-power topologies such as busway systems, remote power panels, and sidecar power modules
Knowledge of HVDC distribution, especially for retrofit or high-density hyperscale deployments
Experience with standards including UL489, UL62368, CE, or AEC-Q200
Insight into AI/ML workload power demands and related rack-level protection considerations
Ability to evaluate and support components including UL489 breakers, magnetic-hydraulic and solid-state protection devices, high-voltage DC contactors, and SSRs
Exposure to energy-storage systems used for microgrids, peak shaving, and backup power strategies
