Responsibilities

Set the merchandising strategy for organizing and presenting Netflix Games through on-service promotional tactics, messaging, and member experiences
Build launch promotional programs that highlight Games on-service and through owned and operated channels. Rapidly learn and iterate through experimentation
Be a key point of contact for the Games Studio, evaluating their promotional ideas from a consumer perspective
Work closely with our operations team to share all of the context needed for a successful promotional campaign launch
Design merchandising strategies to increase the chances of adoption of our games, in close partnership with the Product Management team and our Games Studio partners
Scope and sequence merchandising requirements for games to be prioritized on the product roadmap
Help navigate the Games promotion needs within the larger Netflix product merchandising ecosystem and work closely with your merchandising peers in streaming, Live, and New Content experiences to efficiently and effectively balance promotional efforts for the business
Research new need states for game discovery. Analyze internal data, market research, and industry trends to help feed innovation roadmaps
Deeply understand our Netflix members' habits, needs, and level of game awareness in conjunction with our games lifecycle and emerging player needs

Required

6+ years of experience in Merchandising Roles or Games Marketing with platform experience in all or some - Mobile, TV, Web and Cloud
Deep understanding of consumer behaviors and discovery habits with entertainment and Games, understands how those intersect with content catalog and services
Experience in designing and evaluating A/B tests that support the games learning agenda and advise on key metrics to measure performance of activations
Strategic thinker with a strong customer-focused mindset and empathy
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive alignment amid ambiguity
Collaborative and curious, taking time to understand the business and key partners within and beyond merchandising, i.e Marketing, Content, Product Management, Engineering and Data Science
Strong ability in cultivating robust internal and external stakeholder relationships, effectively influencing outcomes and providing clear actionable recommendations for both regional and global teams
Keen ability to communicate data and insights in a clear, concise, and meaningful way to partners
Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative consumer insights and observability methods to define success
Insatiable curiosity to learn new domains, keep up with industry innovation, and constantly ask ‘why'
Excellent written (memos and presentations) and verbal communication skills; timely communication
Bachelor's degree required
