Responsibilities
Supervise all nursing department staff, assign duties, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards
Oversee daily operations of the acute care nursing unit, maintaining high standards of care and organization
Utilize nursing processes and continuous quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes
Provide backup support to the Emergency Department as needed
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
Current Registered Nurse License in California
Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Minimum of three years nursing experience
At least one year of leadership experience in a clinical setting
Proficient typing and general computer skills
Strong time management and organizational abilities
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, capable of interpreting medical terminology and effectively interacting with staff and patients
