Responsibilities
Patient care for ED patient ratios typically between 1:3-4 during day and night shifts
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, mid-level providers, respiratory therapists, CNAs, paramedics, and phlebotomists
Utilize charting and monitoring technologies such as EPIC, Alaris pump systems, Pyxis, and telemetry monitoring
Participate in orientation and training to seamlessly adapt to facility workflow and standards
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC required
Proficient in general ED skillset: PIV starts, blood culture collection, chest tube care, code blue involvement, and triage
Preferred
CPI/MOAB and ENPC preferred
Preferred experience with arterial lines, central lines, thoracentesis, critical care, and pediatric emergency care
Comfortable functioning as charge nurse occasionally
