Responsibilities
Design, implement, and test data governance and compliance policies, including data classification, labeling, and DLP policies
Monitor and optimize data policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Purview and integrated Microsoft 365 services
Manage role groups, custom roles, and permissions within the Purview portal
Implement and support information protection and insider risk management solutions
Respond to data protection incidents and participate in security investigations
Manage eDiscovery workflows, including data collection, search, and export for legal and compliance teams
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, security teams, and application owners to enforce governance best practices
Provide user training and support regarding data protection tools, policies, and procedures
Assist in risk assessments, audits, and development of security and compliance strategies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of progressive IT experience, or Associate's Degree with 7+ years, or 9+ years of IT experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future and ability to obtain a public trust clearance
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview administration
Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance principles
Experience with data loss prevention (DLP), data classification, and sensitivity labeling
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 environments and related services like Microsoft Entra ID
Experience conducting risk assessments and security audits
Ability to develop, implement, and enforce security and compliance policies
Preferred
Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell is a plus
