SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Responsibilities
You will interpret, develop and implement administrative policies/procedures
You will coordinate with personnel specialists on all matters relating to personnel, recruitment, payroll, classification, employee relations, and travel
You will participate in long-range planning in the areas of personnel, budget, supplies, equipment, vehicles, and other administrative related areas
You will review and evaluate mission and ensure the work is performed in conformance with established policies and procedures
You will perform in-depth analysis of budge requests by employing techniques such as cost-benefits analysis, assessment of program trade-offs, and exploration of alternative methods of funding
You will develop statistical reports to brief management on budget program status
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance while employed in the subject position
Selectee must have and maintain a current valid United States driver's license
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
This position requires an Authorizing Official (AO) for procurements and DTS functions
Incumbent will be required to obtain and maintain status as an AO for procurements and DTS functions
This position requires routine on-site access to government facilities
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing fiscal resources for the office, ensuring all areas operate within budgetary milestones and within overall financial constraints; 2) Researching methods to obtain additional funding for projects, and explore methods of expending funds to provide most flexible alternatives to accomplish projects; 3) Presenting potential courses of action and common business approaches to senior level management for review, approval and implementation; 4) Advising the Program Director on establishing and maintaining sound organizational structures, improving management methods and procedures, and assuring the effective and efficient use of manpower; 5) Coordinating actions, extracting and consolidating supporting data, and clarifying responsibilities and timelines for completion for special projects; 6) Providing advice, counsel, or instructions on work and administrative matters
