REPAIRS AND REPLACES WALLS, FLOORS, TABLES, CHAIRS AND OTHER WOODEN ARTICLES OR EQUIPMENT USING SAWS, POWER AND HAND TOOLS
REPAIRS AND REPLACES LIGHTING FIXTURES, BULBS, SWITCHES, AND WIRING; INSTALLS SIMPLE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND ASSISTS IN INSTALLATION AND REPAIR OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
REPAIRS AND REPLACES SINKS, TOILETS, FAUCETS, PIPES, DRAINS, AND WATER LINES; UNSTOPS TOILETS, DRAINS AND SEWER LINES; CLEANS GREASE TRAPS
PERFORMS MASONRY REPAIR WORK AND REPLACING DAMAGED MASONRY
PAINTS MULTI AREAS IN A LARGE BUILDING THAT INCLUDE ROOMS AND FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT
MONITORS OPERATIONAL READINGS AS MAY APPLY TO THE MAINTENANCE AND/OR CONSTRUCTION FUNCTIONS OF A FACILITY
GATHERS AND DISPOSES OF TRASH AND WASTE MATERIALS
MOVES FURNITURES, LOADS AND UNLOADS SUPPLIES, MOVES EQUIPMENT BY HAND, WITH DOLLIES AND FORKLIFT
PERFORMS OTHER MANUAL TASKS
REPAIRS AND MAINTAINS TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
MAY PERFORM BUILDING SERVICE WORK SUCH AS SWEEPING, MOPPING AND VACUUMING FLOORS AND WASHING WALLS, WINDOWS, MIRRORS AND FIXTURES
MAY PERFORM ROUTINE GROUNDS WORK SUCH AS MOWING AND TRIMMING, REMOVING SNOW, SWEEPING SIDEWALKS, POWER WASHING, CLEANING OF THE PARKING AREA AND PICKING UP TRASH
PERFORM OTHER OPERATIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED AND REQUIRED
Qualification
Required
No formal education required
Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in building maintenance or as a helper in a building trade
Must possess a valid WV operator license
Applicants are subject to an extensive background investigation by the WV Lottery Security Division
No person shall be appointed, employed or continue to serve in any position or employment with the commission who has been convicted of any violation of the lottery law or of any felony or any crime related to theft or gambling
Preferred
Knowledge of basic operation of elevators
Knowledge of electrical panels and their operation
Prior operation of a computerized HVAC control system for a high-rise building
Knowledge of water pump operations and repair
Certification from a federal EPA approved testing organization as a certified technician required by the Clean Air Act on refrigerant recycling
