Facilities Project Manager III
Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for a Facilities Project Manager III to provide project management services for moderate to large size capital projects for renovation or new construction of campus facilities. The role involves leading project teams, managing design phase activities, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities
Leading the project team and coordination of project activities on assigned capital projects with primary responsibility for management and coordination of design phase activities
Administering professional services agreements between owner and consultants
Serving as the primary contact for the university client and design professionals (architects, engineers, cost consultants, and other specialized consultants)
Coordinating and monitoring work of design professionals to assure compliance with the building program (requirements for the project), user requirements, university requirements, and standards for high quality architectural and engineering design
Developing project budget and managing project funds throughout the life of the project
Assuring that all required project approvals are obtained as appropriate
Working as a team with the ISU construction manager on assigned projects
Handling moderate to large capital projects with autonomy and with substantial ingenuity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or related field
Experience in utilities construction
Experience in the management and design or institutional or commercial building projects, especially in an academic higher education environment
Experience with large, complex and multi-phased projects
Experience with sustainable design and construction standards, techniques, and methods
