Crane & Hoist Service Technician

American Crane & Equipment Corporation is looking for experienced Crane & Hoist Service Technicians to join their expert team. Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Service electric overhead cranes and hoists, including mechanical and electrical systems
Troubleshoot and repair 480 VAC / 3-phase electrical systems
Perform work independently while adhering to all safety and quality standards
Participate in an on-call rotation to support customer needs after hours
Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and internal teams
Complete accurate service documentation and reports
Represent ACECO professionally at all customer locations

Required

High school diploma or GED (required)
5+ years of hands-on experience servicing electric overhead cranes and hoists
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including 480 VAC / 3-phase systems
Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout, and fall protection
Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
Professional customer-facing communication skills
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and follow-through

Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)
Eligibility to access information or technology governed by U.S. export control laws (including 10 C.F.R. Part 810, EAR, and/or ITAR), where applicable
Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen in accordance with company policy and randomize drug screens during employment
Ability to meet the posted work schedule and work required hours
Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures
Willingness to wear appropriate PPE when in or around the shop areas
Willingness to complete required safety and compliance trainings
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to maintain professional conduct aligned with company values and expectations
Ability to travel locally, regionally, and/or nationally as required
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to obtain and maintain a REAL ID–compliant driver's license or valid U.S. Passport
Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to nuclear facilities and secure customer sites
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, climb ladders, and perform confined space work
Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to weather, noise, and moving equipment
Strong communication skills and professional customer-facing demeanor
Ability to maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and accurate service documentation
