Responsibilities
Selecting appropriate exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce high-quality diagnostic radiologic images
Collaborating effectively with department team members to solve issues promptly
Demonstrating flexibility, compassion, respect, and accountability in patient interactions
Administering oral contrast as required and preparing patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams
Assisting radiologists during procedures with competence in operation of x-ray equipment, including CR and DR systems
Reporting equipment malfunctions and completing all assigned procedures efficiently, supporting the department in clerical duties and logistics
Maintaining security of medications and demonstrating proficiency in healthcare services across all patient age groups
Utilizing hospital information systems (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively
Upholding confidentiality standards and providing professional technical support to physicians and hospital staff
Qualification
Required
Degree in Radiologic Technology
Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification)
Minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum two years of radiologic technologist experience
Valid New York state licensure as a radiologic technologist
Preferred
Experience or willingness to train in interventional radiology
