Responsibilities
Participate in application and infrastructure projects to provide security guidance
Draft Security policies, standards and procedures for the enterprise in alignment with compliance and risk
Determine baseline security configuration standards for operating systems (e.g. OS hardening) network segmentation and identity and access management (IAM)
Work with internal audit team to review and evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of security controls
Evaluate third party service providers for appropriate controls related to protection of Kroger data
Review security technologies tools and services and make recommendations to the broader security team
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in a related security field
Any of the common languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Ruby, shell scripting)
Proven ability to design and build scalable, high volume, and low latency applications
Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, BGP and other routing protocols)
