VP Technology Strategist

Responsibilities
Define and execute a forward-looking technology vision for loyalty platforms that supports enterprise growth and customer engagement goals
Translate business priorities into scalable, secure, and resilient loyalty solutions
Own the multi-year roadmap for loyalty technology capabilities, ensuring adaptability to evolving market and customer expectations
Lead and develop a large, diverse organization of technology professionals across experience levels
Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Inspire teams through change while strengthening engagement, retention, and performance
Oversee the design, delivery, and enhancement of loyalty platforms and related services
Ensure reliable delivery of integrations, APIs, and data exchanges across internal systems, client environments, and external partners
Guide complex platform launches, migrations, and upgrades using Agile delivery practices
Collaborate closely with loyalty strategy, growth, marketing, product, architecture, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers to support delivery quality and continuity
Act as a senior technology advisor to internal stakeholders and leadership forums
Establish and maintain standards for release management, change control, incident response, and operational resilience
Oversee budgets, resource planning, delivery timelines, and vendor performance
Identify and mitigate operational, technology, and compliance risks associated with loyalty solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of professional experience in information technology
OR high school diploma/GED with 15+ years of equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years working specifically with loyalty or rewards platforms, ideally delivering large-scale solutions
Extensive experience leading large, matrixed technology teams
Background in payments, financial services, or a closely related regulated industry
Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Employment is contingent upon completion of background screening, fingerprinting, and drug testing
Must meet applicable federal regulatory requirements
Authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available
Preferred
Strong knowledge of loyalty system architecture, platform migrations, and large-scale launches
Hands-on experience with leading loyalty platforms (experience with enterprise loyalty vendors strongly preferred)
Familiarity with Agile delivery models and large program execution
Exposure to AI-driven personalization, advanced analytics, or emerging engagement technologies
Strategic mindset with the ability to challenge existing approaches and drive innovation
Exceptional communication skills, with comfort presenting to executive audiences and negotiating across teams
Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, highly matrixed organizations
Results-oriented self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
