Responsibilities
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Network Security Engineering
Design, review, and implement secure network architectures aligned with federal standards
Provide expert guidance, design reviews, and security recommendations
Support compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks and controls
Participate in security assessments, risk analysis, and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting IRS programs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking or a related field
10+ years of experience in Network Engineering
Strong background in Network Security Architecture and Security Controls
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification required
Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required (active or past)
Must be eligible to work on Federal Government projects
Preferred
Experience supporting Federal Government programs; IRS experience preferred
Strong understanding of federal Cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
