Responsibilities

Designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and reliable data extraction processes
Support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics needs
Ensure that data is retrieved, transformed, and made available in a structured and accessible manner for decision-making
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand data needs
Optimize data workflows
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies
Improve data quality, accessibility, and operational efficiency within the organization

Required

Five (5) years of hands-on experience in data extraction, ETL/ELT development, and database management utilizing tools such as Dataflows Gen2, Data Pipelines, Azure Data Factory, ODI, GoldenGate, SQL Developer Data Modeler, Snowpipe or similar in managing extractions and transformations across OneLake, enabling unified orchestration of data from multiple cloud and on-prem systems. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, business intelligence or related field can substitute for one year of experience
Advanced SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Snowflake SQL) expertise, with hands-on experience tuning queries and optimizing warehouse performance across Microsoft Fabric, Oracle ADW, or Snowflake to achieve high-throughput, low-latency extractions and transformations
Hands-on experience in Python, PowerShell or Bash scripting to automate and optimize extraction workflows, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and eliminate manual processing
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively on large/complex system deployment projects in a team environment, including a strong understanding of distributed data architectures
Proven ability to project manage and deliver complex data integration and extraction projects end-to-end, aligning cross-platform technical work and providing clear status reporting to leadership

Preferred

Working toward certification in Microsoft Fabric, Oracle Data Management, or Snowflake
Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation
Experience in higher education data environments
Understanding of machine learning models and how structured data supports advanced analytics
