Responsibilities
Performs all general preventative maintenance to the heating, air conditioning, plumbing, lighting, roofs, windows, and floors
Performs repairs and general building improvements in house as allowed by code and standard
Currently this position is responsible for maintaining equipment fleet
Responsible for maintaining various logs, charts, and completion of purchase orders for the department
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or GED or four (4) year apprenticeship program or two (2) year post secondary technical school
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in heating, cooling, ventilation or the mechanical or building trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plasterer, painter, welder, machinist, mechanic or masonry work
Specific positions may require certification from a federal EPA approved testing organization as a certified technician required by the Clean Air Act on refrigerant recycling
Benefits
$5000 will be added to the minimum starting rate of pay for all classifications within a Critical Vacancy Pay Supplemental Facility.
Employees in this classification shall receive an annual base building pay differential each fiscal year of $250 after completing one year of service.
