Responsibilities

Assist with daily operational monitoring, including inventory reconciliation and production tracking
Prepare recurring reports and dashboards for management review
Support shift operations by analyzing data from refinery process units
Collect, clean, and analyze data related to key performance indicators (KPIs)
Identify trends, variances, or anomalies in production, energy usage, and maintenance data
Utilize statistical and data visualization tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI, etc.) to communicate findings
Participate in or lead small continuous improvement projects (e.g., reducing downtime, optimizing inventory, improving operator workflows)
Develop project documentation such as process flow diagrams, root cause analyses, and presentations
Support capital projects through data collection, project planning assistance, and basic cost analysis

Required

Completion of at least two semesters in an accredited engineering program
Minimum 3.0 GPA required
Ability to commit to three consecutive semesters in the co-op program

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Preferred

Industrial Engineering preferred, but other engineering disciplines considered
