Intern Pharmacy - Limited Tenure, Full Time (1.0 FTE)

They are seeking an Intern Pharmacy to support professional development toward U.S. pharmacist licensure, with responsibilities ranging from medication distribution to shadowing pharmacists and conducting medication history interviews.

Responsibilities
Gain experience with medication distribution and carousel operations
Learn narcotic inventory control, documentation, and secure handling procedures
Engage in technician-verification processes under pharmacist oversight where permitted
Shadow pharmacists across various clinical services to gain insight into workflow, decision-making, and interprofessional collaboration
Conduct medication history interviews, both in person and remotely via Caregility, under preceptor guidance
Flexibility to work across inpatient pharmacy operations
Willingness to learn and utilize new technologies
Active participation in mentorship, feedback, and clinical learning
Commitment to eventual pharmacist licensure and professional growth
Qualification
Required
Enrolled as a full-time student in good standing and have completed the first P1 semester of a Doctor of Pharmacy program within the U.S. that is accredited (or in the process of pursuing accreditation) by the Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education
Alternatively, a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate who has achieved Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee TM (FPGEC®) Certification through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) will be considered
If registration and/or certification as a pharmacist intern (or equivalent) is required by the Board of Pharmacy (or equivalent) in the state in which the internship is conducted, this must be completed prior to and maintained throughout employment
Foreign Pharmacy Graduates must have a FPGEC® Certificate awarded through the NABP, this must be completed prior to and maintained throughout employment
Preferred
Completion of a pharmacy degree program outside the United States
Eager to work toward U.S. pharmacist licensure
Technically skilled with an interest in learning new systems (e.g., Caregility, carousel automation)
Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to patient safety and teamwork
Pharmacy Intern Licensure registered by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
