Responsibilities
Set up and manage production budgets, cost reports, and cash flows
Oversee payroll processing (union and non-union) and vendor payments
Track and reconcile expenses across departments and projects
Prepare and file tax documents, including working with 1099s, LLCs, and production incentive filings
Advise on tax credits, state incentives, and financial planning for individual projects
Maintain accurate financial records in line with industry standards and accounting best practices
Liaise with business management, legal, and production teams to ensure compliance
Contribute to strategic decision-making through clear financial insights
Qualification
Required
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Production or Entertainment Accountant
Deep knowledge of entertainment payroll systems, union/guild compliance, and production accounting tools (e.g., Hot Budget, Movie Magic, PSL, SmartAccounting)
Familiarity with tax incentives and credits across U.S. production states
Proven ability to manage multiple budgets and deadlines
Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and professional communication
