Responsibilities
Interview customers to obtain information related to unemployment benefits or job placement
Perform data entry to enter the information
Assist and refer available jobs to job seekers
Refer to partner agencies for services such as transportation, training, etc
Work with employers to encourage the posting of job openings
Make appropriate referrals and verify hires
Follow agency policies and procedures
Process job orders and follow-up with employers
Take phone calls from customers and employers
Learn about partner agencies and provide referrals
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or the equivalent
Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment
Successful full-time or equivalent part-time study from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience at a rate of thirty (30) semester hours for every one (1) year of required experience on a year-for-year basis
Vocational school training may be substituted for the required experience at a rate of 1080 clock hours for every one (1) year of required experience on a year-for-year basis
