Responsibilities

Leading structural design efforts from concept through construction on a variety of building types
Overseeing and reviewing the production of engineering documents, calculations, and technical deliverables
Guiding project teams in developing schedules, staffing plans, and project approaches
Serving as a technical mentor for mid‑level and junior engineers
Coordinating closely with BIM designers, architects, and contractors to resolve design challenges and integrate structural systems effectively
Conducting site observations, preparing technical reports, and addressing construction-phase inquiries
Reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals with a senior engineering lens
Supporting business development by maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services
Applying advanced judgment on structural systems, materials, and constructability issues

Required

10-15 years of structural engineering experience, including project leadership and significant hands-on design
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university; PE required, SE preferred
Demonstrated expertise in the design of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry systems
Experience with building evaluations, renovations, adaptive reuse, and seismic considerations
Proven ability to independently manage multiple complex projects concurrently
Strong communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring engineering staff
A commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term client relationships

Preferred

Master's degree in Structural Engineering valued but not required
