Lead Computer Technician-Full-Time-The GRID GOC
Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is seeking a Lead Computer Technician to assist in the operation and management of a retail center. The role involves supervising store personnel, managing customer interactions, and ensuring the store's computer systems are well-stocked and functioning.

Responsibilities
Supervises store personnel and store activities in the absence of/and at the direction of the Store Manager and the Assistant Manager; see Supervisory Responsibilities below
Opens and closes the retail store and performs all administrative and clerical duties including making bank deposits and securing the building at the direction of the Store Manager and in accordance with established guidelines
Issues refunds and resolves customer complaints
Answers questions from customers and assists customers with computer shopping needs
Ensures that customers receive prompt, courteous service
Answers Questions About Computer Systems And Accessories
Ensures that shelves are properly stocked with computers and computer accessories
Researches market value of computer equipment, prices computer hardware and software
Serves as a back-up cashier by processing customer transactions by ringing the sale on a cash register, collecting the payment, making change, bagging the merchandise, and thanking the customer
Trains cashiers on processing customer transactions
Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to the Manager, Assistant Manager or other member of management
Supervises store team members and store activities in the absence of/and at the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Agency's policies and procedures
Responsibilities include training team members; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and reporting circumstances to Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
Provides back-up support to the Computer Technicians as needed
Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of Goodwill retail experience or 2 years retail experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous computer hardware knowledge and game knowledge strongly preferred
Valid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance and reliable automobile
