Responsibilities
Conduct structural evaluation, design, and investigative work
Perform and review analysis and design calculations
Manage the preparation of drawings and specifications
Manage project budgets and schedules
Assist with mentoring junior staff
Interact directly with clients
Support and manage projects during construction
Work on a wide range of structural analysis and design projects involving steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
Apply a variety of building codes in design and analysis tasks
Assist with preparation of drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Support construction administration, including bid assistance, submittal review, site meetings, and field observations
Plan and conduct site investigations to document existing conditions
Mentor and develop less experienced engineers
Interact with project clients
Support proposal development, project scoping, and coordination of internal resources
Collaborate with senior staff on strategic initiatives, technical standards, and staff training
Pursue professional activities to gain industry recognition
Qualification
Required
Minimum 7+ years of experience in structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures
Strong understanding of material behavior and performance
PE license required
Strong working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, TMS, NDS, and related codes
Proficiency with structural analysis and design tools such as RAM, RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, and Revit
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to meet deadlines
Proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willingness and ability to travel to job sites not accessible by public transportation, with an acceptable motor vehicle record where applicable
Preferred
Progress toward or interest in SE licensure is a plus
