Client Operations Analyst (contract)

The Client Operations Analyst role supports brokerage client money movement activities within a back-office operations environment, focusing on reviewing, approving, and reconciling transactions to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Client Money Movement Review: Review and approve daily client money movement transactions, ensuring all activity aligns with standing operational procedures and regulatory requirements
Authorization Validation: Examine client authorization documents to confirm completeness, accuracy, and validity prior to transaction processing
Account Reconciliation: Monitor and reconcile account activity related to money movements, identifying discrepancies and escalating issues as appropriate
Exception Management: Identify items that are incomplete or out of order, escalate exceptions, and return transactions for correction when necessary
Internal Coordination: Communicate with internal partners to resolve missing documentation, clarify transaction details, and ensure timely resolution
Recordkeeping & Audit Support: Maintain detailed and accurate records of approvals, authorizations, and transaction activity for audit and reporting purposes
Operational Processing: Execute assigned work tasks independently, adhering strictly to defined workflows and controls in a 100% data-processing environment

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working in a structured, back-office operations environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred

3–5 years of experience in brokerage operations or financial services operations
Prior experience in the brokerage industry
FINRA licenses such as Series 99 or Series 7
Experience reviewing financial transactions or money movement activity
