Project Manager
The Fordy Group is seeking Project Managers with experience in the Data Center market sector. The selected candidate will lead project delivery and client development while ensuring operational excellence and financial accountability from project initiation to closeout.
Responsibilities
Supports the coordination of interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, customers, design, and engineering efforts
Responsible for organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving skills on the project(s)
Monitors and reports on the financial status of the project(s) and is responsible for subcontract and contract administration
Heavy involvement in the development of job progress schedules to ensure that actual construction parallels with the schedule
Purchases and monitors the delivery of all needed materials for their scope of responsibility on the project(s) ensuring optimum prices, quality, and conformance to specifications
Negotiates contracts with trade partners and vendors for their trade scope of responsibility, eliminating scope gaps and limiting project risk
Reviews and approves trade partner and vendor payment requests
Evaluates change order requests from trade partners in a timely fashion
Works with design and engineering teams to ensure project(s) are designed, procured, and constructed within the boundaries of operating guidelines, while conforming to technical requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction
Prepares and presents various reports to successfully manage the project(s), such as monthly documentation, progress analysis/schedules, billings, and status reports
Organizes and maintains job files to ensure continuity of workflow
Reviews shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with the scope of work for their area of responsibility
May be responsible for estimating efforts relative to the project(s) and proposal preparation
Responsible for the communication, implementation, and enforcement of the company’s safety and quality programs on site
Supports and engages with the overall team leadership and collaboration of multiple teams on the project
Qualification
Required
Minimum of six years of experience in construction management
Technical knowledge and experience supporting projects in a Project Manager I role or equivalent
Successfully completed at least two projects in a Project Manager I role or equivalent
Advanced computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office, mobile devices, and innovative programs/software provided by TFG
Organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to monitor and report on the financial status of projects
Experience in subcontract and contract administration
Ability to develop job progress schedules
Experience in purchasing and monitoring delivery of materials
Negotiation skills with trade partners and vendors
Ability to review and approve trade partner and vendor payment requests
Timely evaluation of change order requests from trade partners
Collaboration with design and engineering teams
Preparation and presentation of various project reports
Organizing and maintaining job files
Reviewing shop drawings and submittals for compliance
Communication, implementation, and enforcement of safety and quality programs on site
Engagement with overall team leadership and collaboration

Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture)
