Artificial Intelligence Researcher
The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) is Kansas City's only R1 public research university, committed to academic excellence and innovation. The Artificial Intelligence Researcher will design, develop, and test AI models and algorithms, conduct research, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while mentoring students and assisting in grant writing activities.

Designing, developing, and testing AI models and algorithms to solve complex problems
Conducting cutting-edge research
Analyzing data sets
Implementing machine learning techniques
Presenting findings through academic publications and conferences
Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
Contributing to the university's research community
Supporting the mentoring of students
Assisting in grant writing activities
Qualification
Required
Strong foundation in Computer Science and expertise in practical AI applications
Proficiency in Data Science and Pattern Recognition for developing innovative solutions
Experience with Research methodologies and analytical problem-solving
Knowledge and application of advanced Statistics for impactful research
Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary academic environment
Preferred
Prior experience in publishing research papers or developing AI-based projects is highly desirable
