Responsibilities
Support Envision Opera Interface and Guest Customer Service applications
Work with offsite contract developers to manage the development of new reports and assist in supporting existing reports and cubes
Support application maintenance and other system-related maintenance events on an on-call basis
Develop applications leveraging J2EE and web technologies from start to finish, including customer interaction, requirements validation, system design, and full-stack development using standard APIs
Develop complex SQL queries, interact directly with J2EE and web application servers, and perform build/deployment automation, application performance measurement, and tuning
Collaborate with Project Managers and Stakeholders to execute projects
Outline technical deliverables and provide input to project plans and milestones
Provide technical leadership to design effective solutions
Mentor other developers on the team
Lead key project activities including architecture, design, development, QA/QC, and deployment of new J2EE/web applications
Communicate project plans and status with the supervisor
Ensure applications adhere to Application Engineering guidelines, processes, and procedures
Develop technical deliverables and review technical documentation
Provide required development or operational support
Provide support outside of business hours
Work closely with IT liaisons and external service providers to improve and optimize application performance and end-user experience

Qualification
Required
7+ years of progressively responsible application development experience
Experience with front-end development in large-scale enterprise Java applications
Demonstrated ability to create reusable components leveraged across multiple applications
Demonstrated ability to support applications, review logs, and perform root cause analysis
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, planning, and project management skills
Strong quantitative, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to influence and work with cross-functional teams
Ability to work effectively across internal functional areas where clear parameters may not exist
Proven record of being a strong team player with a whatever-it-takes attitude
Strong work ethic and personal integrity; self-directed, self-motivated, and eager to learn and teach
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and influencing communication skills
Ability to define and capture business needs and articulate strategic implications of analytic results clearly and persuasively
Software development experience in Java, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, and JavaScript (jQuery)
Strong front-end and backend development skills, including Java design, coding, testing, and debugging
Solid experience with enterprise-level J2EE platforms and design patterns
Solid experience with SOAP and REST web service development
Strong SQL knowledge, with DB2 preferred
Experience with Spring Framework, JMS, DOJO, AJAX, Eclipse, Hibernate, JUnit, Struts, XML/JSON data formats, Subversion/Git, JBoss, and Tomcat
Familiarity with IBM DB2 and Oracle databases
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and master new technologies independently
Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline
Preferred
Previous consulting experience
Familiarity with Informatica ETL/MDM
Graduate degree preferred
Java certification is a plus
AWS Developer certification is a plus
