3+ years expLHH is partnering with a non-profit in the DC area seeking a temporary HR Project Manager to provide hands-on HR operational support while leading several high-impact HR initiatives. This role will manage key projects such as performance management system implementation, employee recognition rollout, and HR system transitions while ensuring continuity of day-to-day HR operations.

Responsibilities
Lead and support performance review implementation
Manage HR system implementations and enhancements
Support rollout of an employee recognition program
Coordinate HR dashboards, reporting, and documentation
Manage migration of HR files to SharePoint
Support daily HR operations while leadership hiring is in progress
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and general HR topics
Partner closely with Accounting on payroll-related coordination
Support employee relations processes within ADP
Assist with reference checks and interview scheduling as needed
Own and execute HR projects from planning through delivery
Identify process gaps and proactively recommend improvements
Provide flexible support across HR functions as priorities evolve
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of HR experience at the Coordinator, Generalist, or HR Project level
Strong background in HR operations and administration
Demonstrated experience managing HR projects or system implementations
Highly organized with strong project management skills
Strong customer service and employee-focused mindset
Empathetic, adaptable, and comfortable working across diverse personalities
Preferred
Performance management system experience strongly preferred
