Responsibilities
Perform inspections on NPI builds
Performs visual inspection both unaided and using microscopes
Performs various dimensional inspection using specific dies or gauges, or dimensional inspection systems and micrometers
Ability to perform the tasks with minimal supervision such as but not limited to: Table Pull, Flushing, Bake, Leak Test, Spark Testing, Long Pull, Roll Cut and Documentation Reviews
Follow established documentation for product manufacturing
Problem solves and troubleshoots manufacturing issues
Control non-conforming product in accordance with documented procedures and verify timely corrective and preventative action
Assist with distribution and control of process documentation and quality records
Assist with statistical methods of verifying and controlling process capability
Document all work performed on inspection reports and customer travelers/work orders
Prepare packages and paperwork for product/materials being shipped
Follow Occupational Safety and Health regulations, including laser safety practices
Serves as support resource for execution of IQ, OQ, TMV, and Process Characterizations
Serves as a training resource for NPI projects and new equipment
Performs other duties as required under the direction of the NPI Engineers and NPI Engineering Manager
Qualification
Required
Good vision required
Introductory level position; Minimum 2 years experience as an assembly technician or machine operator in a manufacturing or production environment with some inspection responsibilities desired
Prior experience interpreting technical drawings & specifications required
Demonstrate ability to check dimensions, surface relationships, finish material defects and mechanical strength of product following appropriate training required
Prior experience in the use of PC's and Microsoft Office software applications required
Preferred
Prior experience in medical device, aerospace, automotive, or regulated manufacturing environment preferred
Proficiency in the use of measuring and test equipment preferred
