Responsibilities
Prepare customer contract assessments in compliance with Microsoft’s Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 accounting policies and guidelines to document accounting conclusions and calculate revenue adjustments
Asssess contract amendments to draw proper Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 conclusions and determine Day 2 revenue adjustments
Engage in discussions with Deal Desk to gather deal specific information and business context required to effectively complete contract reviews and amendment assessments
Reviews peer work product for completeness and accuracy once proficiency of product and services knowledge is attained
Perform month end close revenue tasks independently
Develop deep understanding of Microsoft's revenue policies to effectively pose and field inquiries to/from business partners
Identify deal trends to raise for leadership consideration

Qualification
Required
Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experience OR equivalent experience
Preferred
Professional accounting certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Experience in the technology or software industry and/or with multinationals with multi-product and segment finance roles
1+ year(s) of experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition
