Responsibilities

Join the Santagata Lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) as a Technical Research Assistant I
Contribute directly to research that informs innovative clinical trials for immunotherapy and targeted therapies for sarcomas, gliomas, carcinomas, and neuroendocrine-related tumors
Investigate disease mechanisms and pharmacodynamics (PD) to support biomarker and drug development
Gain hands-on experience with high-dimensional pathology imaging, molecular assay development, data processing, computational analysis, and visualization, while contributing to high-impact translational research that can change how cancers and other diseases are diagnosed and treated

Required

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as chemistry, biological chemistry, chemical biology, biophysics, biomedical engineering, or a related field
Demonstrated interest in biomedical research, molecular measurement, and human disease
Willingness to commit to a two-year position and grow in a dynamic research environment
Experience or strong interest in microscopy, molecular or biochemical assays, quantitative biology, or data analysis is highly valued
Strong background in biochemistry or biological chemistry, including understanding of protein structure–function relationships, antibody–antigen interactions, and molecular binding principles, is important for the design, optimization, and interpretation of multiplexed tissue imaging assays
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team

Preferred

Familiarity with or interest in quantitative image analysis and data science tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, ImageJ) is preferred
