Sr Windows System Administrator

Responsibilities
As a Windows Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will possess in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments, with extensive experience in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows Server, Desktop, and Virtual OSs on a large-scale enterprise network whose systems are operational 24x7x365
You will have a deep understanding and proficiency of Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022, Domain Controllers, Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy and integrated services leveraging best practices of Windows platforms and products
Play a crucial role in building, hardening, and sustaining the reliability and security of the Windows-based server and desktop infrastructures and virtual environments
Collaborate and partner across Digital Technology and program(s), to deliver cost effective software and hardware solutions that meet current and future needs while following industry best practices
Integrate and partner with customer(s), engineers, storage architects, system administrators, network engineering, tools and high-performance computing teams to solve complex infrastructure problems
Ensure compliance with security requirements (DFARS, RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks)
Support occasional efforts (planned and unplanned) that may require work beyond and outside standard work hours
Potential for up to 10% travel
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory, exchange, DNS, DHCP)
Preferred
Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification)
Experience working with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF and handling classified information
Experience with some but not limited to, the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, AWS, MySQL, and prior Windows administration, backup and recovery enterprise suites
Experience with windows scripting using Powershell or Ansible
Experience in the following areas: patch management, High Performance Computing, OS Upgrades, computer security, system monitoring and logging and Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems
Experience leading and mentoring junior administrators
High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment
Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods
