Responsibilities
Assisting in the selection, planning and administration of health and benefit plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations
Manage and Processes required insurance documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files when HR assistant is not present or available
Submits online requests and assists with new-employee background checks
Assists with processing of terminations
Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
Files documents into appropriate employee files
Assists or prepares correspondence as requested
Prepares new-employee files
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4 years' experience in HR position including payroll processing
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
AA or AS degree in business related course of work
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Preferred
Experience in Construction field
