Instrument & Controls Tech II
The City of Scottsdale is seeking an Instrument & Controls Technician II to maintain and optimize advanced instrumentation and control systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing measuring and control devices used in industrial processes and Water and Wastewater facilities.

Installs, maintains and repairs the measuring and control devices used in industrial, commercial processes and Water and Wastewater facilities
Qualification
Required
An Associate's Degree with major course work in electronics technology, electrical technology or related degree from an accredited educational institution
Four years of experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of complex electrical equipment, to include two years' experience troubleshooting and staging of Instrumentation hardware, software and related equipment, and two years' experience maintaining proper documentation (including permits, calibration records, procurement contracts, financial budgets and reports) for regulatory requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 39 months prior to the start date
Must possess within six months of hire or promotion a Grade I operator certification from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality in Water Treatment or Wastewater Treatment. Must maintain certification throughout employment
Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work
Preferred
Experience in a water/wastewater plant or facility
Successful completion of a four year training at a journeymen level on industrial instrumentation equipment repair for medium and low voltages controls
