Enforcement Coordinator-State Prog Admin Prin

This role involves coordinating enforcement activities related to cannabis regulations, ensuring compliance with state laws, and providing support to inspection staff.

Responsibilities
Coordinating the development and implementation of formal enforcement procedures, plans, priorities, and strategies to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations
Assisting in the development and review of guidelines to assist staff in determining inspection frequencies and referrals for investigations
Consulting with appropriate staff to determine enforcement response to violations and tracking all formal enforcement activities
Auditing inspection findings with staff to determine compliance and enforcement actions
Providing consultation for inspection staff on inspections and enforcement activities to ensure compliance with rules and statutes
Participating in committees, hearings, and special projects so that the unit operates in a consistent, efficient, and productive manner
Managing information systems related to enforcement activities
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years of experience conducting inspections or investigations or enforcement activities for a county, state, or federal regulatory program. Note: enforcement activities typically require legal jurisdiction or authority such as assessing fees or fines, removing products from shelves, writing citations, making arrests, revoking licensure, or shutting down service providers or businesses
Knowledge of administrative law and process including methods of lawful investigation, data privacy, personal and agency liability, and use of injunctions, administrative penalty orders, cease and desist orders, embargo, registration, and license revocation procedures
Experience writing clear and concise reports, enforcement documents, and maintaining enforcement-related documentation, and experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including cannabis business owners and law enforcement officers
Experience working with diverse communities, regulated entities, or stakeholders in a professional enforcement or regulatory setting
Preferred
Knowledge of MN cannabis laws and regulations
Experience in the cannabis, hemp, or other county, state, or federally regulated industry
Experience providing education to adult learners and using plain language
Experience collaborating with or working in law enforcement
