The City of Madison is looking to fill an aquatics head attendant position. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the daily operations of the Goodman Pool concessions and admissions, leading a team to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the daily operations of the Goodman Pool Admissions and Concessions areas
Monitor the work of concessions and admissions attendants and appropriately manage customer service issues
Implement required cash handling and inventory control procedures
Generate daily reports related to inventory
Recommend programming changes
Perform daily inspection of cleanliness of facilities and ensure that the facility meets required health department standards
Direct admissions and concessions staff to perform cleaning tasks
Oversee Goodman Pool admissions staff and evaluate admissions practices to ensure they meet the customer service standards of the Aquatics Program
Assist with making Goodman Pool Membership Passes
Assist with Qualifying Discount Pilot Program and Scholarship programs
Run errands to ensure adequate supply of inventory for Goodman Pool
Perform related work as assigned

Qualification

Customer service experienceFood Service Manager CertificationLeadership experienceMicrosoft 365Inventory managementMulticultural communicationProfessionalism

Required

Two (2) years of customer service experience with six (6) months in a leadership position requiring the evaluation of staff
Two (2) years of experience in applying customer service principles and the ability to tactfully manage difficult situations with professionalism
Two (2) years of experience in applying computer software applicable to the duties of the position, such as Microsoft 365
Ability to meet the transportation needs of the position
Employee will be required to successfully obtain a State of Wisconsin Food Service Manager Certification by May 15, 2026
