This role involves supporting the Geomatics team in the collection of field data and preparation of survey maps and CAD files, providing an opportunity to gain exposure to progressive technologies.

Responsibilities
Support the crew in collection of site and utility information
Gain exposure to drone and scanning technologies
Preparing technical reports, survey plans and layout plans for projects such as utility construction, road and parking layout, and site improvements
Perform construction layout
Assist with office tasks including, but not limited to CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research, and filing
Maintain survey equipment and initiate repairs when necessary
Remain current on surveying practices, guidelines, and best practices; attend internal training to expand knowledge and skills; and
Perform other duties as requested
Qualification
Required
Student actively pursuing or considering a course of study in Engineering Technology, Surveying, or Civil Engineering
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
