Responsibilities

Procure all raw materials, packaging components (bottles, boxes, labels), and operational supplies required for production and fulfillment
Source, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency
Create, issue, and manage purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery of materials
Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs based on production schedules and sales demand
Collaborate with inventory and warehouse staff to maintain accurate stock levels
Participate in and support regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and test counts
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Ensure purchased materials meet Castle Products’ quality and compliance standards
Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing files, and vendor documentation
Work closely with production and operations teams to align purchasing with manufacturing timelines
Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier consolidation
Assist with inventory organization, storage optimization, and materials handling as needed
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing and inventory control

Required

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or inventory management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or product-based environment
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain processes
Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments
Ability to lift and move boxes, materials, and supplies as needed (up to 50 lbs.)
Ability to stand, walk, and work in warehouse and inventory areas for extended periods

Preferred

Experience purchasing chemicals, automotive products, or industrial materials
Familiarity with quality control and compliance standards in manufacturing
Experience conducting and reconciling physical inventory counts
