Director, Ad Operations & Programmatic
Boston Globe Media has a rich portfolio of leading media brands and events that engage, inform, inspire, and entertain readers in the greater Boston area. The Boston Globe Advertising team is seeking an entrepreneurial, creative, results-driven ad operations and programmatic leader to manage the development and implementation of digital products and processes.

Responsibilities
Act as strategic and tactical leader for streamlining internal processes and execution for digital products
Ideate and develop client-facing reporting capabilities by analyzing internal and external tools and capabilities
Provide ad operation troubleshooting support (trafficking, etc.)
Develop repeatable and scalable processes for new products
Act as the Sales/Revenue team’s POC for Globe and Boston.com editorial teams for troubleshooting and strategic product ideation and development for digital products
Develop and implement the strategy behind all advertising technology and programmatic revenue streams: display, native, video, etc
Work with finance to develop and hit revenue targets for all programmatic revenue streams
Optimization & management of all programmatic display streams including header bidding, server to server, AdX etc
PMP onboarding and management
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and establish robust data governance policies
Oversee the collection, storage, and management of first-party data to derive valuable insights
Develop strategies for segmenting first-party data and analyze it to gain actionable insights into audience behavior
Integrate first-party data insights into marketing and advertising strategies to enhance personalization and campaign effectiveness
Management of internal budgets and expenses for the Digital Revenue Operations department
Work with the Chief Commercial Officer on developing revenue, pricing and data strategies to further the objectives of the advertising department
Qualification
Required
10+ years of advertising operations and/or media experience
Experience with ad serving technologies such as Google Ad Manager, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, Google AdX and others
Proven leader who has led teams and departments to hit objectives and company goals
Proven success driving revenue in the programmatic advertising space
Extremely knowledgeable around the ad tech industry ecosystem, identity, cookieless future and other media technology trends
Publisher experience a plus
Experience with analytics and data visualization tools
Success developing and driving audience data strategy and insights as well as experience with Data Management Platforms
Must possess strong business acumen, management skills and analytical thinking to successfully drive innovation within the department
Strong communicator who can facilitate synergy between sales, Ad Ops & Rev Ops
A willingness to adapt and be audience focused, with a curious mindset and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment
