Responsibilities

Apply broad and deep knowledge in structural engineering and marine infrastructure projects
Perform tasks in the field of structural analysis and design; including but not limited to reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design and timber design; deep foundations; gravity-based foundations; earth retaining structures, etc
Implement design best practices and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications
Perform and review calculations for analysis purposes
Prepare construction documents and oversee construction administration activities
Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers
Conduct site inspections, prepare observation reports, and generate written documents within project timelines and budgets

Required

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering
3+ years of prior project-based engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
Willingness to travel for field work up to 10%
Experience in waterfront and coastal design, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation
Ability to apply broad and deep knowledge in structural engineering and marine infrastructure projects
Experience in structural analysis and design including reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design, timber design, deep foundations, gravity-based foundations, earth retaining structures
Ability to implement design best practices and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications
Experience in preparing construction documents and overseeing construction administration activities
Experience in conducting site inspections, preparing observation reports, and generating written documents within project timelines and budgets
Ability to be self-directed and skilled at attending to multiple responsibilities in a brisk environment

Preferred

Master of Science (MS) degree
Preference focusing on waterfront and coastal design, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation
Other structural engineering experience including buildings and offshore structures will be considered
